A Canadian permanent resident who is over 18 can get Canada permanent residency for immediate family members under sponsorship class. You can sponsor your parents and grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada.
You can sponsor your own parents and grandparents if:
- You’re at least 18 years old
- You live in Canada

Who and in which condition can gain a sponsorship visa

With the sponsorship visa, you can sponsor your parent, wife, children, and other family members to re-united with you in Canada. Family sponsorship is the fastest way to gain Canadian residents. You need to be a Canadian citizen first nation or permanent resident to be entitled and you need to be 18 years of age. You need to demonstrate that you don’t get social help for any reason other than a disability. The partners should at least live together for one year and the immigration department review their condition and issue the final result. If you aren’t in Canada, you need to prove that you plan to come back to Canada to reside with the person you desire to sponsor.
The sponsor age should be more than 18 and should be a Canadian resident while the government issues permanent residency. The other condition for the sponsor is that he or she should commit to paying all the expenses of the sponsor for 3 years and also he or she should be sponsored another person during 3 past years. The other condition is that the sponsor shouldn’t bankrupt and need to be check for any criminal records. The sponsor also should confirm that they didn’t marry just for getting immigrate to Canada and also his or her age should be more than 18 years old.
The marriage should be confirmed by the Canadian government to issue the sponsorship visa. If you get married while you immigrate, you should mention your spouse's name on the immigration documents. Please keep in mind that your spouse should be lawfully married to you and be at least 18 years of age.


Sponsors should commit to paying financial issues for relatives.
The sponsor should be responsible for all the financial matters if he or she relatives.
The sponsor must sign the sponsorship agreement to pay all the financial matters to support the relatives. Or she should be able to make every effort to support himself or herself.
From the date of being a permanent resident, she or he should provide financial support for 3 years.
Their child should support financially for at least 10 years.
The relative who can be sponsored is included spouses, common-law partners, children, parents, grandparents, brothers or sisters, and also they can sponsor for their orphaned granddaughter or grandson under 18 years old and not married.

Spouses can work in Canada under a sponsorship program.
The spouses can have a job while they are waiting for finalizing residency. The candidate must be in Canada by the time they are in process of gaining a sponsored visa. Also, they should have validated temporary status for being workers or visitors.
The spouses must sign the contract of the undertaking and be responsible for it for 3 years. If they have a child under 19 years old, the obligation starts from the time the child becomes a permanent resident or till the time that he or she turns 25. But if their child is older than 19 the obligation starts from the time of the permanent residents for 3 years.


Same-sex spouses
Let me tell you that the rule for same-sex spouses is also similar to opposite-sex spouses. They must have a marriage certificate if they had married inside Canada. In the case they got married outside Canada also they must have an eligible certificate.

Conjugal partners
The law is for both same-sex partners and opposite-sex partners that the conjugal partner is an individual who lives outside Canada and the one who has a relationship with a Canadian sponsor for 1 year but they couldn’t live together. They must prove they couldn’t live together because of the circumstances.

Inland spousal sponsorship
For qualifying the inland sponsorship, the spouses should have temporary residents in Canada, that can be like a worker, student, or visitor. The applicants may be eligible for working with Canadians while they are waiting for residency. This condition can prevent from arising any issue related before the visa gets expired


Outland spousal sponsorship


The outland spousal sponsorship is for those who live outside Canada. While the other spouse can travel in or outside Canada during the application process. Their application can be processed through the visa department in their country.


How much does it cost to sponsor the spouse?


The price for government processing of spousal sponsorship is 550 CAD. Before the visa can be issued, the applicant must pay 490 CAD for the Right of Permeant Residence fee.


Can I sponsor my spouse without a job?


Let me tell you that there is no need to have a job the responsible for paying money for sponsorship. It is important to prove how you and your partner can support yourselves to get to Canada.

Can my spouse come to Canada while he or her waiting for spousal sponsorship?
I should say that in the case they have a valid visitor visa, they can travel inland or outland through Canada. But the short answer is no.

Some reasons that you can’t be a sponsor for spousal sponsorship
is sponsoring the spouse you signed as an undertaking for the previous partner of the spouse and hadn’t been 3 years since they became a permanent resident.
Previously sponsored someone and didn’t pay back to the government while the undertaking was in place.
you didn’t pay child support of court alimony.
Declared to be bankrupt that has not been discharged.
You were convinced of sexual crime, or violent crime, or body harming others.
Being in jail or permanent prison.
admitted to Canada but not examined by CIC
he Has been engaged in an existing sponsorship which is valid at the time of signing another spousal sponsorship.
You had to support your spouse but received no-decision.
