Starting November 8, travellers who are fully vaccinated can go from Mexico and Canada to the U.S. through the land border even for non-essential purposes such as tourism, family visit, etc.
The reopening will have two phases. In November, fully vaccinated travellers can enter the U.S. by land or ferry. The second phase will start in January 2022. In this phase, all essential and non-essential travellers need to be fully vaccinated to cross the land or sea border.
