Navigating the Pathway: Discover the ins and outs of the Canadian Express Entry system for a seamless immigration journey.

Are you dreaming of making Canada your new home? The Express Entry system offers a streamlined pathway for skilled immigrants to apply for permanent residency. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore what Express Entry is, its different categories, the application process, key expressions and abbreviations, and how SEP Immigration can assist you every step of the way.

What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is a points-based immigration system designed to select candidates with the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to Canada's economy. It manages applications for three federal economic immigration programs:

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): For individuals with skilled work experience in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) job.

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): Tailored for skilled tradespersons with experience in specific trades.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC): Targets those with Canadian work experience and wish to become permanent residents.

The Express Entry Process:

Step 1: Eligibility Check

Candidates determine their eligibility by assessing their skills, education, work experience, and language proficiency. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) assigns points based on these factors.

Step 2: Express Entry Profile Creation

Qualified candidates create an online Express Entry profile, providing information about their education, work experience, language proficiency, and more. Candidates are then ranked in the Express Entry pool based on their CRS score.

Step 3: Invitation to Apply (ITA)

Regular draws are conducted, and candidates with the highest CRS scores receive Invitations to Apply for permanent residence. If selected, applicants have 60 days to submit a complete application.

Step 4: Permanent Residence Application

Successful candidates receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence. They submit the required documents and pay the applicable fees within the given timeframe.

Step 5: Medical and Security Checks

Applicants undergo medical examinations and security checks to ensure they meet Canada's health and safety standards.

Step 6: Landing in Canada

Once approved, new permanent residents can then land in Canada and begin their exciting journey in their new homes.

Key Expressions and Abbreviations:

CRS: Comprehensive Ranking System

ITA: Invitation to Apply

FSWP: Federal Skilled Worker Program
